My NYE Makeup!

Happy New Year Loves!!!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful celebration bringing in the New Year, I know I did!
Today I want to share with you all the look I created for New Years.  First I want to apologize for the quality of photos, I completely forgot to take pictures at home due to being in a rush to get ready and leave for my parents which is an hour and a half away from where I live. Once I got there I realized I forgot to take pictures and had to take them with my iphone and not in the best lighting. My family decided to do a pajama party which was genius that we all got to be comfy as we partied the night away. My pajamas however did not stop me from going full glam for New Years Eve!

Anyways I loved my look and wanted to share it with you! I used my new BH Cosmetics Party Girl Palette and Glitter that I recently purchased. I paired a dark smoky eye with a pretty pink/nude lip and it turned out gorgeous! I dont think the photos do it justice but you can get the hint lol! This was the perfect NYE look or a look you could use for any fun special night out on the town!

Lroc Pro 2
BH Cosmetics Party Girl
For my eyes I used Lt Brown from my Lorac Pro 2 Palette as a transition color and applied that to the crease and blended that up. Next I used a light gray from my BH palette and applied that in my crease from corner to corner. I then applied a med gray color from the same palette to the outer V of my eye and blended to the middle of my eye. Finally I used the black shimmer color to deepen up the outer V. I then applied the BH Cosmetics loose glitter in Night Vision all over my lid and on the inner corner of my upper and lower tear duct. To get this to stay all night I simply applied a very very small amount of lash glue to my lid and then packed on the glitter. I topped off this look with a wing liner and extended out in my inner corner for a more dramatic cat eye.

Its been a while since i have posted a blog due to being super busy with the recent holidays + my youtube channel! I decided to write a blog on the makeup look i did for Christmas day because i got tons of compliments and questions about it. Since my camera quality isn't that great for recording makeup tutorials im just going blog about them until i get a better camera lol.

I wanted this look to be simple but still glam since it was for a family gathering, so for the first time i played with some glitter eye liner. Oily Skin Must Haves!

Hello & Happy Monday!

Today is all about skin care! I myself suffer from oily/combo sensitive skin.
Listed below are each of the products that I use pretty much on the daily and a little bit more in detail their benefits. Sorry in advance that this is a little long but I wanted to get in an overview of each of my favorite daily products!!!

Foreo Luna Mini Cleansing System
  • Silicone made, soft & gentle on skin
  • No battery replacement, charges with usb cable
  • No brush replacement, has different size prongs for deep & delicate areas
  • Pulsates to let you know that section is done to keep from over or under cleansing
  • Easy clean up, just rinse off and go.
Overall I love this so much more than my spin brush, I still get a deep but gentle cleanse on my face. Leaves my face soft without any harsh redness. You can find this on HSN or the Foreo site listed below.

Olay Regenerist Detoxifying Pore Scrub
  • Deep exfoliating cleanse with out harshness
  • Leaves face soft
  • Great for removing any dead or flaky skin
  • Contains Salicylic Acid for Oily faces
I like using this at night for a deep cleanse after a day of makeup, oil, and sweat. Does not leave face feeling tight or dry.

Olay Regenerist Luminous Brightening Cream Cleanser
  • Brightens dull skin
  • Leaves skin soft and even
  • Great for dark puffy eyes
  • Contains Vitamin E which helps hydrate skin and premature aging
I LOVE using this to wash my face in the morning. It instantly brightens and wakes skin up for an even bright look to start your day! Rinse face with cool water to help with any puffiness. Also great for those of us with those nasty dark circles under our eyes!

Olay Regenerist Thermal Mini Peel
  • Self heating helps relax skin
  • Polishes skin & hydrates leaving skin feeling soft
  • Contains Amino Peptides which promotes protein/collagen which over time help skin stay youthful and helps with wrinkles.
I recently started using this and cant wait to see how it helps my skin long term. I like to use it in the evening because it relaxes my skin after a long day and it simply feels amazing! Will keep you all updated on the long term effects.

Freeman's Charcoal & Blacksurgar Polishing Mask
  • Helps detox skin from dirt
  • Charcoal helps draw out oil and dirt
  • Black sugar exfoliates away dull skin while keep skin feeling soft
  • Helps reduce the look of blackheads
I am obsessed with this product!!! And its all thanks for a friend of mine, Allison aka DJKitty for posting it on her blog, link below. It does everything it claims to do! This should be called Little Black Magic in a Bottle because it is just that! It warms skin which is relaxing but you can almost feel it drawing all the nastiness out of your skin. This does not over dry my skin and is recommended for all skin types.

Neutrogena Rapid Clear Face Lotion
  • Oil Free
  • Helps fight current breakouts & prevent new breakouts
  • Contains Salicylic Acid which helps dry out oil
I use this every day, twice a day! This has helped keep my oil under control better than any other face lotion I have tried. I have also had the least amount of breaks outs since using this lotion. This is going to be for oily/combo skin, may dry out normal/dry skin.

Lorac Porefection Face Primer
  • Oil Free, Paraben Free, & Fragrance Free
  • Contains Salicylic Acid which helps with oil and helps make up stay longer throughout the day
  • Contains Vitamin's A, C, & E, A helps with wrinkles. C helps with fade spots, keeps skin smooth and youthful. E helps with skin aging.
I use this every day before doing my makeup. Between this and my Neutrogena Lotion this has changed the oil game on my face!! This helps my makeup stay and not slick off my face throughout the day! This is a little pricey but its an investment and will last you forever!!!

I hope that you check out some of these products especially if you struggle with oily face situation like myself! Let me know if you have these products and you like them or if you pick one up let me know your thoughts!!!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Palette

Happy Sunday Loves!

I want to talk about an eyeshadow palette that I recently purchased because I am officially obsessed with it!

It all started Friday when I dropped into Ulta to pick up some NYX Butter Lipsticks, (btw, those are awesome for any chapstick addict like myself) and found myself needing a bag because my hands were filling up with more than just lippies.

I had my lipsticks, picked up an Urban Decay Setting Spray, my Olay products (they were buy one get one half off and that NEVER happens so of course I just had to take advantage) and was debating on some TooFaced products when I glanced over at the Anastasia Beverly Hills section and noticed if I got anything over $25 from her line I would get a free item, uh sold! So there I was trying to figure out what I wanted and of course with it being Beauty Month each item I looked at they were out of in my particular color. I was about to give up hope and check out when I noticed one shadow palette left and sure enough it was the Amrezy palette which happens to be the one I wanted, it was a sign!

At check out of course they were out of the free gift but they did make sure to load me with some other great samples, so all was good!
Okay now on to this amazing palette! The colors are great for the upcoming fall and winter months, they are very pigmented, go on so smooth, and blend beautifully! I had recently watched one of my favorite youtubers, Samantha Ravndaul aka Batalash (this chick is awesome, if you havent checked out her videos then you need to do so!) and remembered she used this same palette for one of her looks! I watched her video again and was inspired to do my own spin on her tutorial.

The colors used in this look are Marocco, Glisten, Deep Plum, & Legend.

Lipsticks... Oh My!

Fall is approaching and everyone is going ham crossing into their new fall makeup looks. While I’m not ready to let go of my summer peaches and pinks I am excited for fall and I too am crossing into new territory! Lipsticks!

I have always been terrified of lips colors, I have just always stayed far far away from a dark lip. I have always believed my skin is too far, my teeth aren’t white enough and all in all I would just look ridiculous.
Recently I discovered a whole new world of nude lippies and found how much I love the look of a nude lip on myself and thought, what the hell, I want to try this whole darker bolder lip thing and if it doesn’t look good well then at least I tried and who cares! ;)
Of course I didn’t want to run out and buy lip colors that I could potentially hate and literally watch dollars go down the drain so what I decided to do was grab a bunch of different Wet n’ Wild (their makeup is so affordable & great of any beginner) lip colors to test the waters with and what I have found is that so far I may just like this new lippie world I have stepped into!

So whats the point of this post? Step outside of your box and don't be afraid to discover a new you! You don't have to test the waters and worry about wasting money, find an affordable brand and dive right on in!!!

Pictured Above I am wearing Wet n’ Wild lipstick in Cherry Picking. I have been playing with this color for a few days && so far I am totally diggin’ it! <3

TooFaced 'Brow-nie" Brow Pencil

NEW PRODUCT! Well its new to me :)

First off I am no Brow Pro by any means! As a matter of fact this is an area I struggle in when it comes to my makeup routine! Trust me when I say I have made some brow-mistakes that were oh so not cute BUT practice makes perfect and well I'm still practicing but I am learning what works for me!

I have fair skin and thin blonde brows (for whatever reason thin brows where the way to go in high school so of course I over tweezed for years! If only I could turn back the hands of time!) so I have to be really careful when creating “bolder” brow, so for the most part I stick to filling them in & keeping it simple.

Normally I use a brow pencil from Avon, I don't know about yall but I go through brow pencils like there is no tomorrow! So when I put in an Avon order I typically purchase 3-5 at a time which really isn't bad considering they are .99 cents to $2.99 each.

Recently TooFaced was having a sale so I purchased one of their brow pencils for $8, normally ranges from $18-$20.

Of course I am not disappointed & had I known id fall so in love I would have purchased several of them! These are great for for a more natural brow. Fantastic for filling in, has creamy consistency, blends nicely, not harsh, and has a covenant spooly on the end!

Pictured Above I am wearing the TooFaced “Brow-nie” in Blonde-y.

More posts coming soon! Stay Beautiful <3

Hola Beauties!

Hi Everyone!!!

Let me introduce myself, my name is Rheannon but I go by Rhea (pronounced "Ray") and this is my Beauty Blog! I am 27 and recently rediscovered my love of makeup! As a little girl I use to spend hours upon hours playing in my mothers makeup and even at the grocery store that's the section you could find me. Over the years makeup has become such a craze with all the different brands and products and lets not forget the thousand upon thousand of youtube tutorials! Until recently I have thought I could never pull that look off or its just all too expensive, and not to mention my oily face issues were getting out of control and who wants to put makeup on a messed up canvas?

In the spring I was getting so frustrated with my skin that I started researching products for oily/combo skin. I read reviews on face washes, primers, foundations, powders, any and everything I put on my face I was researching and thats when I got my skin care under control. Of course with all the reviews I was reading and watching I was just amazed by all the different makeup looks and products out there that I felt like a kid again aaaaand that is how my Beauty Blogging began!

I am very new to this blogging world and feel new to makeup all over again too!

With some very good bargain shopping I have been able to dive into a good start of makeup products and have literally watched my makeup collection triple over the last couple of months.

This blog will be full of product reviews, likes, dislikes, bargains, tips, tricks, and there will be some learning I will be doing too so bare with me :)

Along with posting on my blog you can also find me on the social media links below!

Thanks so much for reading and I am excited for this blogging adventure,
Stay Beautiful <3
